The Rate of Rise Sensor is designed to send an alarm when it senses a 10 degree change in temperature in a period of 60 seconds, or when temperature reaches 190 degrees fahrenheit. The tattletale security system does not have to be armed to send a fire alarm while system is monitored. Since the sensor uses solely temperature to detect fire, there is no more risk of false alarms due to a dusty work environment!
